And you can use the touch screen to move the cubes if the analog bothers you.

How do I save my progress on android?  I dont see an option

you have to reach the town (defeating the scuccubus is the final of the tutorial) 

then you enter the house and there is a mattress on the floor where you can store your game. (Press K)
